The Materials Associate is responsible for ensuring that adequate levels of supplies and meat are driven into the facility to ensure that the plant can run effectively. This role requires multi-tasking, prioritization, and effective and accurate completion of tasks. The position involves daily monitoring of materials requirements, submission and updates of POs and buyer messages, management of daily deliveries of supplies and meat, reconciliation of materials receiving issues, and generating the daily delivery schedule. It also includes fulfilling the claim process for supplies or meats, filing claims, ensuring timely receipt and follow-through of the credit process, and timely disposition of QA hold products, QA hold slow-moving obsolete submissions. The role requires follow-through of claims, effective communication with vendors regarding forecasts, overages, and shortages, and cross-functional work with projects, invoice management, E-buy filing, and using partner links for inventory management (e.g., Bemis, PCA). Upkeep of Product Spec Books is also a responsibility. The successful candidate must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
