Requirements

  • Basic proficiency with MS Office software, document management software and ability to navigating the Internet.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Possesses interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Typically requires 1 year of related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Initiating, maintaining, and compiling records associated with ordering, receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, and equipment.
  • Comparing nomenclature, stock numbers, and other listed information on packing slips to verify accuracy of purchase orders and shipping orders.
  • Compiling and performing data entry tasks to maintain inventory, purchasing, shipping, and other records; uses data sources such as contracts, purchase orders, invoices, requisitions, etc.
  • Supporting verification of inventory computations against physical count of stock and adjusting errors and documenting discrepancies with proposed corrective action.
  • Maintaining manual or computerized records such as material inventory, in-process production reports, and status of material locations.
  • Supporting compilation of information on receipt of disbursement of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies, and computing inventory balance, price, and cost.
  • Packaging materials and equipment ensuring that shipping documentation is accurate and materials are protected adequately for shipment; follows most efficient and economical routing and mode of transportation.
  • Supporting investigations into causes of misdirected shipments, damage or shortages in shipments or overcharges in freight cost.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

  • Ensuring Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role.
