Requirements

  • Active California AMFT registration required
  • Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or a related qualifying field required
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote/telehealth environment
  • Must be able to participate in required clinical supervision

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, or outpatient clinical settings preferred
  • Familiarity with IOP and PHP levels of care preferred
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conduct clinical assessments and assist with biopsychosocial evaluations
  • Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans under appropriate supervision
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy as clinically indicated and within scope of practice
  • Facilitate therapeutic and psychoeducational groups within IOP/PHP settings
  • Provide case management and assist with coordination of community resources
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment team members
  • Participate in crisis intervention and risk assessment under appropriate clinical supervision
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in EHR systems
  • Assist with discharge planning and continuity of care
  • Advocate for clients and support engagement and participation in treatment
  • Participate in clinical supervision and ongoing professional development
  • Ensure compliance with ethical, legal, and regulatory standards
  • Practice within the scope of an AMFT registration and California Board of Behavioral Sciences requirements
