About The Position

Izzo Marriage & Family Therapy is seeking Associate Marriage and Family Therapists (AMFT/APCC/ACSW) who are passionate about working with children and families. The role involves supporting vulnerable, underserved populations through difficult life transitions. Izzo is a group practice known for serving clients experiencing divorce, custody battles, issues with young children, reunification, depression, anxiety, trauma, and those who are low-income and multilingual. The practice emphasizes investing in its therapists, creating a safe and open space for collaboration, problem-solving, and professional growth. Associates are expected to have an entrepreneurial mindset, a love for learning, and a commitment to empowering both themselves and the clients they serve.

Requirements

  • Hold an AMFT/ASW/APCC license in California.
  • Located in California.
  • Possess a growth mindset and the understanding that learning is a collective process.
  • Have an entrepreneurial spirit and a willingness to innovate.

  • Communicate with honesty and grace.
  • Take personal responsibility and acknowledge choice in every moment.
  • AMFT/APCC/ASW number (Required).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a minimum caseload of 25 clients scheduled per week, including notes, treatment plans, dx, and clinical enrichment.
  • Work a hybrid schedule of remote and in-person sessions in San Mateo, CA and San Carlos, CA.
  • Collaborate with other clinicians and engage in continuous learning.
  • Participate in weekly group and individual supervision.
  • Attend company meetings and individual Professional Development meetings.
  • Be open to working with young children and receiving training to become a skilled child therapist.
