About The Position

Assist in providing reliable data and insights that foster and drive actionable decision making for DAV’s various fundraising programs in order to maximize donor engagement and revenue generation. These functions are achieved through campaign planning and development, data management and extraction, and results reporting.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Computer Science Marketing experience 3-5 years with relational database(s)
  • Strong database skills are required with the ability to communicate verbally and in writing in a clear and accurate manner
  • Possess the ability to bridge between data analysis and marketing/fundraising objectives
  • Possess computer system(s)/program knowledge; mid-level or better SQL/TSQL skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, and advanced skills in Excel
  • Individual should be detail oriented and effective at handling multiple projects simultaneously
  • Effective working in a team environment

Nice To Haves

  • 3-5 years’ experience in direct marketing or fundraising
  • Strong analytic background preferred
  • Non-profit fundraising experience 3-5 years

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Direct Marketing Fundraising team to review/approve campaign data expenses and generate detailed cost to acquire or retain figures for each direct mail campaign
  • Create and manage data extractions for various external partners/projects
  • Ensure tests are structured appropriately to ensure the statistical validity of results
  • Create and update response reports in Excel for each fundraising campaign using DAV’s statistics and probability tools
  • Working closely with our strategic partners, proactively provide cross channel analytics, campaign analysis reports, and other statistical information to strengthen strategic decision making across all fundraising areas
  • Validate and adjust data transmissions from external sources that are synced with DAV systems
  • Work collaboratively with IT and Results Management to ensure integrity and proper functioning of the CRM and all fundraising specific procedures
  • Write queries to support reporting and dashboards
  • Develop production schedules with outsourcing firm, procurement, and Direct Marketing Specialists
  • Distribute daily production activity reports
  • Develop coding for tracking mail delivery
  • Monitor and verify mail delivery, both outbound and incoming
  • Maintain Direct Mail postage account balances and CAPS account
  • Attend seminars and other information sessions on fundraising database systems, analytics and reporting, and provide feedback on the highlights to the Fundraising management team
  • Assist Development team with production and gift processing functions as they relate to fundraising mailings and return processing
  • Maintain the annual joint cost allocation report
  • Document and maintain all processes and procedures in Fundraising document library such as OneNote
  • All other duties as assigned by management
