About The Position

This position assists in the synthesis and subsequent purification of large-scale oligonucleotides. The operator must comply with GLP/GMP protocols and follow applicable SOPs and work instructions when performing and documenting operations. The role works with the CMC group to support production timelines and produce quality product. The position is based at Arrowhead’s manufacturing facility in Verona, Wisconsin. The 2nd shift schedule is Monday through Thursday, 1:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., and is eligible for a 10% shift differential.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
At least 3 years of experience in a similar position.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
Strong attention to detail.

Experience working in a GMP setting with controlled documentation.

Responsibilities

Follow batch records, SOPs, and work instructions in detail.
Document all operations in batch records and notebooks.
Comply with GMP protocols.
Assist CMC chemists with oligonucleotide synthesis and chromatography, including reagent solution preparation, column packing, mobile phase preparation, and fraction collection.
Operate TFF to desalt purified RNA solutions.
Operate a lyophilizer and package solid drug substance.
Execute processes as part of a team to meet production timelines and produce quality product.
Maintain a clean work space.
Wear required personal protective equipment to maintain safety.
