About The Position

Harvey Performance Company is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for their Cuyahoga Falls site to support a growing pipeline of engineering work. This role will contribute to active and planned projects, including process improvements, shop layout, and equipment changes. The engineer will work alongside the local team and the broader Harvey engineering network, spending significant time on the shop floor to learn operations before taking on more project responsibility. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer aiming for a site-level role.

Requirements

  • Some manufacturing or production experience (internships, co-ops, or 1+ year on the job all count).
  • Working or developing AutoCAD proficiency.
  • Exposure to CNC machining or similar manufacturing processes, with interest in how things run on the floor.
  • A self-starter mindset and willingness to take work and push it forward.
  • Comfort working both on the floor and at a desk.
  • Clear, direct communication that works for operators, supervisors, and non-technical leaders.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Experience in cutting tools, grinding, or precision manufacturing.
  • Six Sigma, Lean, or DMAIC exposure.
  • Plant layout or facilities planning experience.
  • SolidWorks proficiency in addition to AutoCAD.
  • ERP system experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support process improvement initiatives focused on cycle time, setup reduction, and machine utilization.
  • Handle AutoCAD work including drawings, tool documentation, and shop floor layout projects.
  • Work alongside maintenance, CNC, Braze, post-production, and QA on cross-functional projects.
  • Support projects from kickoff through completion, with guidance from engineering peers.
  • Build and update SOPs, work instructions, and process documentation.
  • Help investigate quality issues, participate in root cause analysis, and support corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with engineering peers across the broader Harvey network.
  • Help train operators and supervisors on new processes and workflow changes.
  • Support continuous improvement work including SMED, cycle time reduction, and uptime initiatives.
