About The Position

As an Associate Manufacturing Engineer at MKS Vacuum Solutions Division, you will partner with Product Engineers, Quality, Planning, and Production Leaders and work closely with a diverse group of production machinists, welders, and assembly operators to improve and sustain production processes and help support the manufacturing strategy for the MKS Broomfield, CO operations. In this role, you will report to the Sr. Supervisor of Manufacturing Engineering.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering
Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles and Safety and Lean Continuous Improvement.
Understanding of analytical tools, workflow time studies, and process balancing.
Ability to collaborate with Design engineers, program managers, manufacturing leads, and functional leads.
Experience with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong communication, listening, and collaboration skills.
Knowledge of solid modeling and Tool/Fixture Design.
Experience with Oracle and Agile.
Familiarity with Product Engineering, Product Design Reviews and ECR/ECO systems, BOM structure and Engineering Documentation.

Nice To Haves

Familiar with Tubular Components and CNC Machining.
CNC programming a plus.
Familiar with TIG welding and Orbital welding.
Interest in robotics for manufacturing.
Understand principles of DFM and DFA.
Experience with 3D printing.
Experience with Mechanical Assembly.

Responsibilities

Analyze existing systems and processes and identify value-added and non-value-added activities to solve design challenges.
Conceive, design, develop, and test innovative solutions based on analysis and organizational objectives.
Contribute to resolving quality and efficiency issues at the component level.
Implementation and Control of Manufacturing Documents (Work Instructions, Tool Drawings, Process Drawings, etc.).
Estimate manufacturing cost, review/update time standards, and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines.
Evaluate new and existing processes, equipment, and materials as an input for scheduling methods, performance metrics, and financial standards.
Uphold the company’s reputation by delivering innovative solutions while adhering to local and national regulations.
