About The Position

The Boeing Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers (MS&B) Production Engineering Organization is seeking an Associate Manufacturing Engineer to support the B-1B Program. This position will be 100% onsite in Tukwila, WA. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development, testing, certification, and integration of current and new production systems, ensuring efficient manufacturing processes.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
This position requires US Citizenship.
To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and quality requirements.
Extensive background and experience in product design, fabrication, assembly, and structural testing within the aerospace industry.
Strong knowledge of aircraft manufacturing processes and procedures.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively partner with production personnel and other stakeholders.
Ability to analyze complex manufacturing issues and provide innovative solutions.
Experience in CAD/CAM software and other relevant engineering tools.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement production and tooling methodologies.
Develop, identify, and implement conceptual designs and maintain the program architecture for build.
Provide on-site engineering support; create, coordinate, and issue manufacturing plans for shop consumption.
Foresee and prevent potential conflicts and risks associated with successful completion of work tasks/jobs.
Conduct producibility and variation analyses to ensure manufacturing process capability matches requirements.
Analyze design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions.
Resolve technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost, or schedule.
Coordinate and implement new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies, and concepts.
Validate and ensure production readiness of solutions to complex problems.
