Associate Manager - Visual Merchandising
About The Position
The Associate Manager is a key member of the store leadership team, responsible for supporting profitability through customer connections, brand loyalty, and community engagement. The role provides feedback and coaching to maximize team performance and owns a designated division of responsibility, such as Visual Merchandising, Operations, HR, or Service & Selling. The Associate Manager also steps into other roles as needed to maintain operational excellence. Working with the Store Director and management team, the Associate Manager helps oversee store operations, recruit and develop associates, foster a collaborative environment, and keep the team on track to exceed goals and deliver best-in-class customer service. The role also develops ways to engage the community and build loyalty through events.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of full-time retail management experience with a similar scope.
- Passion for supporting the brand, customers, and teams.
- Stay current with fashion trends and industry developments.
- Demonstrate teamwork, flexibility, and courtesy while executing tasks.
- Champion new ideas and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills when navigating uncertainty.
- Have scheduling flexibility, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Bend, reach, and stretch for products, and lift, carry, and move at least 40 pounds (18 kilos).
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Store Director as a shared business owner, contributing to all aspects of the brand and maximizing profitability.
- Own a designated division of responsibility, such as Visual Merchandising, Operations, HR, or Service & Selling.
- Manage store operations, systems, and technology while ensuring accountability.
- Support the Store Director with recruiting, training, and development.
- Partner with the Store Director and management team to create a collaborative working environment for associates.
- Help ensure the team exceeds goals and provides best-in-class customer service.
- Develop innovative ways to engage the community and build loyalty through events.
- Step into a variety of sales-floor roles as needed.
