About The Position

L3Harris Technologies is hiring for a Production Control Supervisor. This role is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily and weekly inventory activities within the manufacturing facility. The Production Control Supervisor ensures that production schedules are met, resources are utilized efficiently, and production targets are achieved in a timely manner through ensuring materials are delivered to Operations when they are needed. This role works closely with various departments including procurement, planning, scheduling, production, and quality control to ensure seamless operations.

Requirements

• Requires practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects, tactics, and employees within a team.
• Typically has strong knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization.
• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum 6 years prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
• Position requires an in depth understanding of customer/program needs, manufacturing, and assembly / test operations.
• Position requires significant knowledge and experience working with, managing, and planning within ERP/MRP systems (Oracle preferred), and utilizing these systems’ capabilities for scheduling and capacity planning.
• The successful leader will be a hands-on leader working with his/her team on a daily basis.
• It is essential for any candidate to be a leader of corporate initiatives promoting safety, diversity, ethical behavior, increased employee engagement and career development.
• This position requires a high level of proficiency and advanced knowledge and/or management experience in varied business disciplines.
• Experience working in a cross-functional environment with minimal direct supervision is essential.

• APICS certification is strongly desired.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the allocation of resources, and materials, to ensure that production goals are met. Identify and address any resource constraints that may impact production.
• Monitor inventory levels of buy materials to ensure that adequate supplies are available for production.
• Supervise and lead a team through providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Liaise with other departments such as production, quality control, and logistics to ensure smooth operations. Communicate production plans and schedules to relevant stakeholders.
• Analyze inventory data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement. Prepare and present reports for key metrics such as on-time delivery, efficiency, and inventory levels.
• Ensure that all production activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Promote a culture of safety and ensure that safety protocols are followed.
