About The Position

SymphonyAI Retail is seeking an Associate Manager, CPG Engagement to join their team and lead AI-powered transformation in retail and CPG. This role is part of the CPG & Retailer delivery team for key US-based programs. Success in this role requires the ability to generate actionable insights and build strong relationships with CPG organizations, establishing yourself as a trusted advisor to the Leadership team to drive strategic and financial value for the client. The role involves supporting CPG client objectives to improve business through customer loyalty and sales, providing thought leadership and consultative services for customer-centric engagement, and developing close working relationships with VPs, Directors, and Senior Managers in areas like Category Management, Sales, Shopper Insights, and Analytics. The Associate Manager will participate in key client meetings, share insights for decision-making on promotions, pricing, assortment, innovation, and category health, and coach clients on customer data methodologies, analytic approaches, and the use of SymphonyAI Retail’s tools. Responsibilities also include overseeing the client portfolio to achieve a 100% renewal rate, identifying upselling opportunities, collaborating with the SRAI Analytics team for timely delivery of ad hoc analytic projects, and working with The Learning Center and Sales Support teams on CPG activities.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in turning data into actionable insights that drive action and deliver measurable business results.
  • Excellent consultative, communication and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of the business strategies and tactics employed by both CPG and FMCPG retailers.
  • Familiar with scanning, panel, primary research, and their customer insights applications in a retail and/or CPG environment via software tools and consulting services.
  • Effective developer and presenter of actionable customer insights and demonstrator of software tools to Director level of a CPG organization.
  • Charismatic relationship builder.
  • Proven entrepreneurial approach to business development, demonstrated through a track record of successful sales experience.
  • Can work effectively with external HQ development and support functions.
  • Written communication – creation of clear, concise, and actionable materials for the client.

Responsibilities

  • Support CPG client objectives to improve their overall business by driving customer loyalty and sales.
  • Provide the thought leadership and consultative services required to drive customer-centric collaborative engagement with CPGs.
  • Develop close consultative working relationships with VPs, Directors and Senior Managers from different functional areas including Category Management, Sales, Shopper Insights and Analytics.
  • Participate in key client meetings and share insights to support decision making related to promotions, pricing, assortment, innovation, and category health.
  • Coach clients’ skill sets in the application of customer data methodologies and analytic approaches and the usages of SymphonyAI Retail’s analytics tools to solve their key business issues and support their corporate strategies.
  • Effectively oversee your client portfolio and take responsibility for achieving a 100% renewal rate among existing CPG clients.
  • Leverage our solutions to drive successful upselling opportunities.
  • Work with SRAI Analytics team to ensure timely and compelling delivery of ad hoc analytic projects that align with and deliver against focus Retailer & CPG business issues and needs.
  • Work closely with The Learning Center and Sales Support teams on all CPG activities from training and on-boarding to contract administration and revenue tracking.
