About The Position

The Consumer Retention Marketing team aims to build lasting customer relationships by providing personalized, cross-channel experiences that encourage repeat business. Within this team, the Consumer Promotions Strategy team uses data analytics and strategy to create value for consumers through engaging promotional campaigns. As an Associate Manager on this team, you will develop integrated promotional strategies to boost consumer acquisition, engagement, and retention. You will be responsible for executing promotional campaigns and improving them through testing and experimentation, guided by ongoing customer data analysis. This role reports to a Manager of Consumer Promotions Strategy within the Consumer Retention Marketing team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent working experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in finance/management consulting, business operations, growth marketing/marketing analytics, or business analytics.
  • Experience analyzing large data sets, translating them into actionable insights, and executing data-driven strategies to manage performance.
  • Intermediate to strong analytical/SQL skills, including the ability to build forecasting models for marketing campaigns.
  • Advanced Excel skills for complex functions.
  • Experience translating data into applicable insights for partners.
  • Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with CRM technology, including ESPs, segmentation tools, and complex data structures and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Identify consumer cohort trends and suggest interventions within the customer lifecycle.
  • Develop strategic, analysis-driven consumer pricing and promotions plans using complex data sets.
  • Analyze campaign results to identify performance drivers and opportunities for iterating on test structures.
  • Partner with Retention Marketing and Strategy & Operations teams to test and manage multiple consumer promotions across hundreds of geographies in the U.S.
  • Develop a promotions playbook for lifecycle and Dashpass workstreams, balancing goals between Consumer Marketing-funded, Merchant-funded, and Enterprise Merchant promotions.
  • Partner with BI and Engineering to create ETLs and ensure dynamic events and data are correctly routed to the CRM platform.
  • Establish strong working relationships with cross-functional stakeholders in Retention, Product, Tech & Operations, Analytics, and Strategy teams.
