As a Technician Apprentice, you will learn to maintain and troubleshoot advanced equipment used in semiconductor manufacturing, supporting technologies that power smartphones, vehicles, medical devices, and communication systems.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent technical education
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Ability to work a 12-hour shift schedule
  • Ability to work in a semiconductor cleanroom environment
  • Ability to wear all required cleanroom protective clothing and equipment throughout a shift (excluding breaks)
  • Ability to stand for the majority of a 12-hour shift (excluding breaks)
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 30 pounds periodically throughout the shift
  • Travel requirement: 0-5%

Responsibilities

  • Learn semiconductor equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Perform preventive and first-call maintenance activities
  • Complete technical coursework through Vermont State University
  • Work alongside skilled technicians and engineers
  • Follow quality, safety, and operational procedures
  • Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives
