Requirements

  • Contributes to the overall success of the Credit Trading department in the United States within the Global Capital Markets division by supporting primary and secondary loan trading activity from execution through settlement.
  • Ensures accurate risk capture, trade lifecycle management, and timely reporting, while maintaining full compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and operational controls across loan trading activities.

Responsibilities

  • Handle all operational aspects of the loan trading business from trade execution through closing, including trade booking, confirmations, settlement coordination, and issue resolution
  • Identify opportunities to enhance reporting, automate processes, and improve trading desk efficiency through technology and workflow optimization.
  • Drive project-based initiatives in front office loan operations relating to the bank’s strategic build in Leveraged Finance Origination
  • Analyze and support primary and secondary bank loan trades, ensuring accurate trade capture, position maintenance, and risk exposure across trading systems in compliance with market regulations and internal controls.
  • Compile and distribute daily flash reports, including detailed trade blotters, outstanding positions, cash movements, and end‑of‑day P&L for traders, management, and control partners.
  • Work closely with Risk Management to monitor issuer, facility, and counterparty exposure, assessing potential risks based on liquidity, credit ratings, concentrations, and market conditions.
  • Collaborate with Middle Office, Back Office, Operations, and Technology teams to resolve trade discrepancies, improve workflow efficiency, and ensure timely and accurate trade settlement.
  • Coordinate amendment and waiver execution across traders, research teams, legal, and middle office, ensuring documentation terms are accurately reflected in systems and positions.
  • Liaise between the Syndicate team and Sales desk on new deal originations, repricings, refinancings, and secondary distributions, ensuring allocations are valid, counterparties are onboarded, and trading relationships are properly established.
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture apply to day‑to‑day activities and proactively escalate issues that may expose the firm to operational, market, or compliance risk.
  • Actively contributes to effective and efficient operations in line with the Bank’s Values, Code of Conduct, and Global Sales Principles, while supporting strong controls related to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions, and conduct risk.
