About The Position

The Associate Lending Specialist is a critical role within LPL Financial’s Banking & Lending organization. The position supports the firm’s portfolio of lending solutions and drives adoption within LPL’s distribution network, with a primary focus on the Secured Credit Account (SCA), a securities-based line of credit. The role contributes to the day-to-day operation of SCA and the delivery of an exceptional experience for financial advisors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience within financial services, preferably in wealth management, with knowledge of securities-backed lending and margin.
• Experience providing exceptional support and service to client-facing financial professionals and their teams.
• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong desire and ability to solve problems and meet Advisor and client needs.
• High commitment to owning issue resolution.
• Highly organized, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Ability to listen carefully and respond emphatically and effectively.
• Ability to learn, assimilate, and communicate information effectively.
• High intellectual curiosity.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an SCA and margin product expert and support Advisor inquiries about product characteristics, benefits, and risks.
• Explain how to use systems and technology supporting the product life cycle, including loan origination, draws, payments, and account closure.
• Support Advisor inquiries about product policies and procedures.
• Act as the first point of contact for Advisors seeking help with inquiries and requests, resolving client issues, concerns, and time-sensitive needs.
• Escalate lending product policy exception requests.
• Support the transition of external client loans to LPL.
• Provide feedback and suggestions for continuous improvement to the Product Manager, Lending Solutions.
