About The Position

The Associate Lending Specialist is a critical role within LPL Financial’s Banking & Lending organization, supporting the firm’s lending solutions and driving adoption through its distribution network. The role primarily supports the Secured Credit Account (SCA), a securities-based line of credit that gives advisors a liquidity option for clients without disrupting their investment portfolio strategy. The specialist helps run the day-to-day operations of SCA and delivers an exceptional advisor experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in financial services, preferably in wealth management, with knowledge of securities-backed lending and margin.
• Experience providing exceptional support and service to client-facing financial professionals and their teams.
• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to meet advisor and client needs.
• Commitment to owning the resolution of issues.
• Strong organization and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Ability to listen carefully and respond empathetically and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an SCA and margin product expert and respond to advisor questions about product characteristics, benefits, risks, supporting systems and technology, and policies and procedures.
• Support advisors throughout the product life cycle, including loan origination, draws, payments, and account closure.
• Serve as the first point of contact for advisor inquiries and requests, helping resolve client issues, concerns, and time-sensitive needs.
• Escalate lending product policy exception requests.
• Support the transition of external client loans to LPL.
• Provide feedback and suggestions for continuous improvement to the Product Manager, Lending Solutions.
