About The Position

Life360 is seeking an Associate Legal Counsel, Product & Privacy, Ads with experience in advising ad-tech companies to join its expanding legal team. This role involves counseling product, engineering, and marketing teams on privacy, consumer protection, and content regulation matters within the ad-tech space. The position serves as the primary legal point of contact for Ad Sales and Ads Product Managers on these matters and reports to the Deputy General Counsel for Product & Privacy. The role requires collaboration with horizontal cross-functional teams such as Marketing, Comms, and the Infrastructure team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of legal experience in product counseling and privacy counseling in the ad-tech space.
• Experience directly advising software product managers and engineers.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience advising software product managers and engineers on consumer protection matters.
• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Membership in at least one state bar.

Nice To Haves

• CIPP/US certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advise ads engineering and product teams on legal and regulatory issues throughout the product development lifecycle, including the Life360 Ads Platform (SSP and DSP business).
• Provide counsel on privacy and data protection matters related to ad tech, ensuring compliance with regulations like GDPR and CCPA.
• Advise on content regulation matters, including ads content policies and enforcement, to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Advise on marketing matters related to the B2B ads business.
• Monitor and provide guidance on evolving international privacy, consumer protection, and technology regulations in the ad-tech space.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement risk management strategies.
