About The Position

Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is dedicated to transforming the health care experience and providing access to world-class health care in America’s heartland. This role involves facilitating new hire orientation, departmental orientation, employee competency training, and annual regulatory training. The specialist will maintain required documentation of staff in assigned areas and assist with departmental quality assurance and process improvement. The position provides remedial training to improve quality results and ensure standards are met. It is involved with the departmental quality program, targeted improvement strategies, employee satisfaction, and customer satisfaction data. The role provides performance input on departmental staff regularly and assists with service recovery efforts. Training and quality control are provided to employees in designated departments. The specialist will customize curriculum and develop training materials to meet organizational and stakeholder needs, and develop staff skills to support learning. The ability to develop strong working relationships, manage projects, facilitate change processes, and effectively communicate to achieve organizational goals is essential. Responsible for the delivery of software-based classroom training utilizing adult learning principles and training methods. Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office/Windows applications, analytical decision-making, information gathering, presentation, group facilitation, innovative problem solving, and possesses highly developed training skills. The role requires flexibility, effective planning and organizational skills, and effective communication skills (personal, verbal, written, and electronic). The ability to function in a collaborative, fast-paced, customer-driven organization is necessary. The role on-boards new employees, provides continuous training for current employees, and develops and implements quality projects to meet patient satisfaction standards.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or three years equivalent experience in training/education, ancillary services, or healthcare.
