About The Position

UTA seeks a strategic, data-driven associate for a dynamic, collaborative role within the agency’s IQ team. This role will support analytics work across film, TV, music, digital creators, and sports, partnering with multidisciplinary teams to turn data and cultural insights into critical support for negotiations as well as forward-thinking strategies for client growth. The role will also be involved in advanced initiatives that will enhance overall team effectiveness by helping to design, improve, and implement new processes and analytics tools. The ideal candidate for this position is a detail-oriented, critical thinker who enjoys research and analytics, is passionate about entertainment, and thrives in fast-paced environments. The salary range for this role is $73,000 to $80,000 commensurate with experience and skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, data science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years’ experience in entertainment, media, technology, or a data-driven analytical role (experience with entertainment-specific datasets a plus)
  • Fluency in major social media platforms and related metrics
  • Experience building visually engaging decks that communicate data-driven recommendations to both creative and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables, set priorities, and execute with precision under tight deadlines
  • A strategic and analytical mindset—you can spot trends, interpret data, and help translate insights into compelling narratives and business outcomes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative working style
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and collaboration tools such as Slack, Box, Airtable, or similar

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with entertainment-specific datasets a plus
  • Experience with analytics platforms such as YouScan, Tubular, Demographics Pro, or similar, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights a plus
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) and/or skills with coding languages (e.g. Python, VBA) a plus

Responsibilities

  • Analyze large datasets from various sources, including first-party and third-party ratings, viewership data, social media, and consumer research
  • Create materials and reports that transform data into compelling stories and narratives
  • Support the creation, maintenance, and design of analytics tools used to enable and enhance team and departmental efficiency
  • Deliver recurring reports to various stakeholder groups across the agency
  • Communicate insights clearly and collaborate with internal and external partners, including agents, senior executives, and clients
