About The Position

The Associate Investment Advisor will support clients by delivering a comprehensive range of wealth management services, ensuring a high-quality advisory experience. This role contributes meaningfully to business development activities, including client sourcing, relationship building, and marketing initiatives. They will also participate actively in the investment and financial planning processes, helping to develop tailored solutions that meet clients’ financial goals.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, accounting, finance or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in financial services, wealth management, or client-facing investment role
  • Experience offering a broad range of financial solutions.
  • RR license or Associate Investment Advisor license.
  • Proficiency with the MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
  • A team-oriented individual who values collaboration and contributes to a positive workplace culture.
  • Ambitious but grounded, with a strong appetite for learning and career advancement.
  • Demonstrate a high level of accountability, reliability, adaptability, and innovation in accomplishing day-to-day work and long-term goals.

  • Registered with CIRO as an Investment Representative (IR) or Registered Representative (RR) is considered an asset.
  • Insurance license is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate as part of the Investment Advisor team to deliver comprehensive wealth management services to clients.
  • Meet with existing and prospective clients to conduct detailed fact-finding, uncover client needs, and help them articulate their short- and long-term financial goals.
  • Act as a knowledgeable resource for clients, including preparing specialized reports, answering product-related questions, and ensuring timely follow-up on inquiries.
  • Proactively identify planning or investment opportunities and provide personalized, goals-based advice.
  • Manage and expand an existing client base through effective networking, marketing activities, and relationship management.
  • Support client origination efforts by engaging potential leads and building strong connections both internally and externally.
  • Drive the WAPW wealth management process, including preparing financial plans, investment proposals, and recommendations aligned with client objectives.
  • Continuously look for ways to refine, improve, and enhance the WAPW client experience.
  • Maintain current and in-depth knowledge of all major areas of the wealth management process, including financial planning, investment management, education planning, risk management, retirement strategies, tax considerations, and wealth transfer planning.
  • Manage client account administration, including account openings, trade execution, and related administrative support for the advisory team.
  • Prepare reports, investment summaries, and meeting materials as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with team members to ensure seamless service delivery and contribute to maintaining a positive, client-centric team culture.
  • Perform other responsibilities assigned to support both client needs and broader team operations.
