About The Position

Medtronic is seeking an Associate Inventory Analyst to support warehouse optimization and inventory management at their Memphis Airways distribution center. This role will assist in improving space utilization, implementing slotting and replenishment strategies, and maintaining accurate warehouse master data. The analyst will use warehouse reports, product history, and business forecasts to support inventory placement decisions and evolving storage needs. Collaborating with inventory clerks, slotting subject matter experts, and warehouse operations, the Associate Inventory Analyst will help execute data collection, physical inventory movements, and process improvements to enhance distribution center throughput and support continuous improvement initiatives aligned with the Medtronic Performance System. This is an in-person role requiring a minimum of 5 days a week onsite.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Requires broad theoretical job knowledge typically obtained through advanced education.
  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
  • Must possess unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in warehouse operations, or a similar role, with experience in warehouse slotting and machine learning.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in MS Office Suite and data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI)
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (SAP WMS).
  • Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma principles.
  • Experience in Opti slot or other slotting tools is preferred.
  • SAP WM Slotting Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures that inventories are secure, properly identified and readily accessible to authorized personnel.
  • Maintains controls over various types of inventories (e.g., raw materials, subassemblies, finished goods).
  • Conducts physical inventory counts and reconciles results with inventory records.
  • Ensures that quantities of incoming and outgoing shipments are correct.
  • Conducts analyses of inventory levels and coordinates with production and sales requirements.
