Our people are: Accountable, customer-obsessed, collaborative, driven Our people are not: Passive, defensive, siloed, hesitant Cover Genius Insurance Product Managers are the resident experts on specific product lines and go-to resource for coverage analysis and innovation, pricing, and filing requirements and regulations. The Associate Insurance Manager independently supports product development and carrier operations for our US Warranty line, taking ownership of discrete workstreams within a product build or carrier account and developing an integrated understanding of how product design and capacity placement interact. This role works closely with senior Insurance Managers, Pricing, Legal, Actuarial, Finance, and Tech to help design profitable, scalable, and partner-suited products, and provides the analytical and documentation support that keeps carrier relationships and product delivery timelines on track.

Requirements

  • Some prior experience (roughly 1–2 years) in insurance product development, pricing, underwriting support, or a related operational/analytical role
  • Track record in ongoing product and portfolio management
  • Experience in designing and writing policies and other insurance related documentation
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a relevant field.

  • Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, including to non-insurance stakeholders (Tech, Finance, Legal)
  • Excellent organizational skills and follow-through on discrete workstreams with limited oversight
  • Comfort working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, start-up environment
  • Analytical mindset and able to spot and flag reporting discrepancies or risk issues before they escalate
  • Developing subject-matter understanding of insurance product design and commercial terms (commission, profit share, binder structures)

Responsibilities

  • Provide analytical insights on product performance and carrier reporting discrepancies for the US Insurance team.
  • Own specific product modules (e.g., pricing tables, coverage schedules, policy wording) or carrier operational requirements (e.g., monthly reporting, premium payments, reconciliations) for US Warranty accounts.
  • Support day-to-day carrier relationship management and sourcing for assigned Warranty accounts, escalating to senior team members as needed.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Actuarial, Finance, and Tech teams to translate product and carrier requirements accurately.
  • Coordinate responses to carrier due diligence questionnaires and audit requests.
  • Identify and flag operational or compliance risks in product build and carrier onboarding processes.
  • Assist senior Insurance Managers in preparing submission decks and capacity requests
