About The Position

This is an entry-level instructional design role that works independently and collaboratively as a member of a training development team responsible for the design, development and maintenance of new and existing e-learning and instructor-led training materials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent from four-year college or technical school; degree in communication, English, instructional design, psychology, education, or similar fields is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially PowerPoint, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop and revise instructor-led and online training materials using authoring tools (PowerPoint, Articulate 360 suite) and via writing, research, storyboarding, design and quality assurance, as applicable
  • Execute instructional design techniques and strategies planned primarily by a lead or senior instructional designer
  • Work with subject matter experts and source materials to develop content for e-learning and instructor-led training programs
  • Maintain components of existing training materials using project templates, tools and process documentation.
  • Ensure process documentation remains up to date
  • Implement identified revisions and improvements to training programs based on stakeholder feedback, instructional design best practice and adult learning theory
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of instructional design best practices, learning industry developments and visual design principles
  • Ensure training projects are delivered within budget and on time through organization and prioritization of tasks and effective use of self-management skills
