Associate, Institutional Equity Sales
About The Position
The Associate Sales & Trading is responsible for serving as support for the US Rates Trading Division of TD Securities (USA) LLC. This position will support the US Rates desk in New York by inputting trades (post execution), researching and resolving trade discrepancies, amend trades (per trader approval), support the gathering of documentation for new accounts group, act as a liaison between front, back and middle offices, amongst a variety of other responsibilities. The Associate will also gather, research information and analyze the market, execute detailed data analysis and valuation, provide in-depth market reports and expert recommendations, identify issues affecting clients and provide recommendations to remedy, develop deep client relationships and present new ideas to clients, execute trades and secure deals with new clients, keep market-making traders informed of relevant issues with their customers and products, obtain market prices from market-making traders and execute the trade, ensure all trades are confirmed with the broker/dealer, input trades (post execution), and verify transactions meet company policies and followed approved guidelines, research and resolve trade discrepancies, confirm trade blotters against trades booked in systems, coordinate with back office on all failed trade status and communicate to front office, coordinate with back office on position breaks and report to the front office, assist traders in mark-to-market process, coordinate trade reconciliation discrepancy resolution with back office, look for ways to improve work flow efficiencies, read and understand the Trading Supervision Standard, and demonstrate governance, control and risk management behaviors in alignment with TD policies and practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, or specialized training / equivalent work experience
- 3+ Years of related experience
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, establishes priorities, and possesses strong communication, analytical and problem solving skills
- Management experience and solid computer skills a must
