About The Position

Weber Shandwick is a leading global engagement agency focused on the new media landscape. They are storytellers and content creators who engage people in the story. The Weber Shandwick Influencer practice is seeking an Associate to join its growing West Coast team. This role requires an integrated-minded individual with skills in social media influencer relations, content creation, strategic planning, and integrated marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate has a pulse on digital conversation, understands how it moves across channels, and sees the intersection of conversation and creator. This multi-hyphenate should elevate the team's thought process, attention to detail, and cultural currency. The role involves assisting in campaign, talent, and event management, as well as nurturing client relationships, working across time zones and collaborating with internal specialty teams.

Requirements

  • Four-year degree or equivalent work experience in communications, journalism, marketing, or a similar field.
  • 0-1 years of related professional experience.
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills; verbal and written.
  • Strong attention to detail and project management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency or experience with social media listening tools, influencer management tools, or creative editing software (e.g., Talkwalker, Tagger, Captiv8, CreatorIQ, Adobe Suite).

Responsibilities

  • Crafting storytelling in various mediums, including social copy, client communications, and outreach notes.
  • Development and execution of influencer recommendations.
  • Serving as the day-to-day team support during program execution.
  • Providing input on influencer relations marketing campaigns and tactics.
  • Managing authentication and campaign setup utilizing influencer management tools.
  • Maintaining strong talent agency and one-on-one influencer relationships.
  • Curating compelling influencer pitches tailored to the account and brief.
  • Development and management of timelines and weekly action plans to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Breaking down and managing detailed tasks with the Influencer and Account team for special public relations events and new product launches.
  • Proactively monitoring the social media and influencer space for brand opportunities, competitor sets, and cultural conversations.
  • Management of the Influence team’s workflows and checklists.
  • Coordinating with social platform and paid media teams to ensure strategic thinking.
  • Collaboration with the analytics team to ensure data and metrics are collected for results measurement and campaign recaps.
  • Interacting with senior management and providing input into tactics and strategies.
  • Partnering with the Corporate Communications team to assess risks and reputation.
