About The Position

As an Industrial Associate in Commercial Real Estate, you will play a pivotal role in the tenant representation, leasing, and sales of industrial properties. You will be primarily responsible for business development activities while also researching market trends, assisting with property valuations, preparing client presentations, and contributing to negotiations and transactions. Working alongside senior brokers, you will help drive the strategy for growth and development in the industrial sector while gaining exposure to various aspects of commercial real estate in a fast-paced and evolving environment. Associates are compensated with a draw plus commission, with uncapped earning potential tied directly to the business you build.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 2-4 years of professional work experience; business development or sales experience preferred but not required.
  • An understanding of client needs and dedication to service
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Must possess strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, tasks, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Leadership experience, sales and negotiating skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Working knowledge of Excel
  • General understanding of CRM software and tools
  • Ability to be an independent worker with a team player attitude
  • Must be able to succeed in an environment that values individual perspectives and encourages sharing of information and ideas, while driving towards common goals
  • Real estate license not required at hire, but must be obtained within 60 days of start date

Responsibilities

  • Developing a deep understanding of the real estate market by obtaining the latest market and industry research, historical information, and trends
  • Extensive cold calling, face-to-face prospecting, and other business development practices
  • In-person canvassing of your assigned submarkets, including door-to-door prospecting with industrial tenants
  • Creating and organizing a detailed database for tenant pursuits and proactively scheduling and meeting with prospective tenants
  • Contributing to building tours, presentations, drafting proposals, and report preparation
  • Responsible for tracking and collecting market level data and comps for their submarket
  • Maintaining daily interaction with clients and prospective clients
  • Participate in firm marketing and business development opportunities
  • Supporting market analysis, proposals, and lease comparisons
