About The Position

The Boeing Company is looking for an Associate Industrial Security Specialist to join us in Berkeley, MO. This position will serve as the Special Access Program (SAP) Policy specialist for the Boeing Enterprise Classified Security (ECS) Governance, Risk, and Compliance team and will provide expert level input to the development, implementation, and effectiveness assessment of Company policies in support of US government security requirements. The position will engage with various SAP agencies to learn and understand new or changed policies, advocate for the Company's interests in those policies, research and develop proposed local policy implementation and ensure compliance across the Company's SAP portfolio. The position requires an active US Top Secret security clearance as well as recent, extensive experience supporting SAP programs, engaging with USG SAP agencies, interpreting and applying SAP policy, writing local or other policy, as well as communicating with senior government or industry leaders on matters of national security. The successful candidate will have either active SAP access or current SAP eligibility under DOW auspice.

Requirements

  • Successfully completed a Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the last 5 years, or have you been enrolled in a Continuous Vetting program within the last 5 years
  • 1+ years of experience in Industrial Security
  • Willing and able to travel domestically 10% of the time
  • Active US Top Secret security clearance
  • Recent, extensive experience supporting SAP programs
  • Experience engaging with USG SAP agencies
  • Experience interpreting and applying SAP policy
  • Experience writing local or other policy
  • Experience communicating with senior government or industry leaders on matters of national security
  • Active SAP access or current SAP eligibility under DOW auspice
  • U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with Internal Security Controls through performance of compliance assessment reviews and self-inspections to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements identifies deficiencies and recommends corrective action
  • Assists with Administrative Inquiries (e.g., collects and analyzes data, writes reports and interviews) on personnel, processes and situations to determine level and scope of non-compliance with government and company regulations/requirements
  • Assists with Communication Security (COMSEC) duties and responsibilities
  • Assists in the protection of government, intellectual, third party and company information from unauthorized disclosures
  • Performs Personnel Security processes to assist in obtaining individual security clearances/accesses
  • Assists in developing and conducting security awareness training and education program to educate, refresh, and motivate personnel to protect people, property and information
  • Assists in Physical Security duties and responsibilities within Boeing facilities to ensure compliance with company and government regulations/requirements
  • Assists in sub-contractor management to ensure compliance with government regulations/requirements
