Northrop Grumman is seeking Associate Industrial Engineering. This position will be located at our Space sector in Goleta, CA.

Requirements

Have completed their degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD) from an accredited institution
Majored in Industrial Engineering or a related field
Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
The ability to obtain Special Access Program within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs

Nice To Haves

Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher
Lean Six Sigma knowledge (VSM, kanban, 5S, etc.), including coursework or project experience in a manufacturing environment (internship, co-op, project, or work experience)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools such as Excel (Project and Visio a plus)
Data analysis skills & data minded decision making
Enthusiastic, proactive mindset with a strong desire to learn and grow
Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and experience working in teams

Responsibilities

Assist in set up, scale up, and optimization of production areas by determining most efficient sequence of operations, workflow, and work cell design/layout
Generate Value Stream Maps and analyze production data to implement metrics that measure safety, quality, delivery, employee, and cost performance
Contribute to plans that ensure availability of labor, facilities, equipment, and tooling resources
Help standardize processes and participate in cross functional teams to implement continuous improvements in topics such as production output, inventory control, quality assurance, and cost reduction
Collaborate with leaders and stakeholders to communicate status, gather input, and align with production priorities
