Child Caregiver / Transportation – Goleta, CA
About The Position
A family in Goleta, CA is seeking a warm, reliable part-time caregiver to provide consistent midday transportation and optional childcare support for their 3-year-old daughter during the 2026–2027 school year. The family is open to candidates available 3–5 days per week. This role is ideal for a trusted childcare provider, nanny, or retired educator looking for a predictable daily task with potential for extra hours. The preferred schedule is Monday–Friday, midday (~11:30 AM – 12:15 PM), with flexibility for candidates available 3 to 4 days per week. Thursdays have a slightly varied midday pickup time (~11:00 AM), which the family can cover, but candidate flexibility is a plus. The position starts on August 19, 2026, and ends in early June 2027. The family maintains a smoke-free home and will provide and assist with car seat installation.
Requirements
- Warm, dependable, and experienced with young children
- Reliable personal vehicle
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driving record
- Current auto insurance
- Prior Trustline registration (or equivalent vetting) is strongly preferred and prioritized
- Proof of legal authorization to work in the United States
- Must pass a background check

Responsibilities
- Pick up 3-year-old from preschool in Goleta around 11:30–11:45 AM
- Safely drive to nearby children's center by approximately 12:00 PM (~15-minute drive time)
- Provide a calm, familiar, and friendly transition during the commute
- Occasional evening/weekend babysitting
- Occasional morning support (such as lunch prep for three children, ages 11, 9, and 3)
