About The Position

United Therapeutics (Nasdaq: UTHR) is a public benefit corporation dedicated to developing treatments for rare, deadly diseases and creating manufactured organs to address the shortage of transplantable organs. The company has six FDA-approved therapies and is working on additional treatments for pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) and pulmonary fibrosis (PF). Their long-term goal is to create an unlimited supply of transplantable organs to eliminate transplant waiting lists. The Associate II, Materials Management position is responsible for processing incoming material receipts, maintaining inventory control and material issuance, and preparing outbound product shipments to ensure smooth and compliant operations. This role operates under general supervision and requires adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • 2+ years of warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Basic understanding of cGMPs
  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Previous experience with SAP
  • Previous experience with operation of mechanical warehouse equipment

Responsibilities

  • Receive GMP and expensed materials according to established SOPs, ensuring accurate documentation and system entry.
  • Enter warehouse material control transactions in SAP, supporting inventory tracking and material status accuracy.
  • Track GMP and expensed material stock levels to support operational needs and inventory accuracy.
  • Assist in the disposal of hazardous, non-hazardous, and general waste materials according to SOPs.
  • Support warehouse readiness for audits and inspections, maintaining warehouse and material storage areas in a clean and orderly fashion.
  • Coordinate receipt and distribution of packages, parcels, and courier deliveries to the appropriate departments.
  • Maintain material status segregation and inventory accuracy through proper identification, labeling, storage, and SAP transactions.
  • Stage, issue, transfer, and reconcile materials in support of manufacturing, packaging, laboratory, and sampling operations.
  • Monitor and maintain ambient, refrigerated, and other controlled storage areas in accordance with established procedures and report any deviations.
  • Prepare, package, document, and coordinate hazardous and non-hazardous shipments for clinical, development, testing, and sampling purposes.
  • Assist in completion of year-end physical inventory count and cycle count activities.
  • Operate powered industrial equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, turret trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment in a safe and compliant manner.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory and shipping supplies to meet operational requirements.
