Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • At least 2 years of prior distribution or warehouse experience.
  • Experience with barcode scanners and printers.
  • Ability to speak, read, and comprehend English instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Experience in forklift operation.
  • Ability to perform accountabilities and tasks within established productivity requirements.
  • Must satisfy credentialing requirements of Sysmex’s customers, including proof of current vaccinations for measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and COVID-19.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload inbound and outbound trailers, trucks, and vans, ensuring safety and adherence to distribution center procedures.
  • Verify receipts against delivery manifests and/or purchase orders, utilizing receiving forms and maintenance records.
  • Operate computer terminals in an automated receiving and shipping environment.
  • Stock merchandise in designated locations according to company standards.
  • Operate manual or powered hand trucks and industrial lift trucks to move merchandise.
  • Fill customer orders using computer-generated picking documents.
  • Pack products in standard containers and assemble orders for shipment.
  • Prepare items according to customer packaging, labeling, and shipping requirements.
  • Operate material handling equipment including vertical balers, pallet jacks, two-wheel carts, barcode scanners, conveyors, and air machines.
  • Monitor warehouse inventory levels and replenish stock.
  • Assist the warehouse team with assigned tasks, potentially rotating to multiple stations or departments based on business needs.
  • Master all functions of a Level 2 associate before being eligible for Level 3.
  • Obtain certification on all material handling equipment, barcode scanners, and printers.
  • Interface with internal and external customers regarding continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Recommend and develop ideas for improving operating methods, procedures, layout, workflow, operating costs, and customer service.
  • Multi-task proactively and re-prioritize daily to accommodate changing business requirements.
  • Follow guidelines and directions from the Distribution Management Team.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects and cost-saving measures.
  • Follow distribution procedures in accordance with cGXP, FDA, OSHA, IATA, DOT, TSA, and other applicable regulations.
  • Maintain product documentation, quality standards, specifications, SOPs, and GMP.
  • Assist in keeping the department audit-ready at all times.
  • Ensure the quality and integrity of personal time records and contribute to expense reduction.
  • Follow all safety standards and training, ensuring the building is clean and safe.
  • Protect inventories and equipment against theft, fire, and other hazards.
  • Maintain housekeeping duties and designated aisles.
  • Demonstrate good customer service through timely movement of goods.
  • Follow up on issues and concerns of internal and external customers.
  • Promote a customer-centric environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
