About The Position

Lazard is seeking an Associate to join its Healthcare Group. This team is a vital part of Lazard’s global healthcare practice, focusing on strategic transactions for leading and emerging healthcare services, biopharma, and medtech companies. The role involves working on a variety of transactions for companies across the U.S. and is based in New York or Chicago. Lazard is a global financial advisory and asset management firm known for its collaborative community, continuous knowledge sharing, and entrepreneurial culture.

Requirements

• At least two years of investment banking experience (strong preference for those with M&A deal experience), financial consulting, or other meaningful healthcare M&A experience
• Strong financial modeling skills and quantitative background coupled with meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills with ability to manage a variety of transactions and projects simultaneously
• Demonstrated team player attitude and leadership qualities with a strong motivation to contribute to a positive team culture
• Top academic performance with comfort operating in an unstructured environment which values initiative, creativity, maturity, and poise
• Bachelor’s degree required

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of financial analyses and create complex models
• Prepare and create client presentations and meeting materials
• Interact with client senior executives
• Manage deal processes
• Conduct research on relevant companies / sectors
• Provide guidance to teammates at the Analyst level
