Requirements

  • 5–10 years of direct experience in the safety profession, with a strong emphasis on training, hazard identification, and program development.
  • Proven experience delivering safety training in both classroom and virtual environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess site-specific hazards and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Strong project and time management skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
  • Customer-focused approach with strong relationship-building capabilities.
  • Background check and potential drug screening required for the position.
  • Residence within a reasonable commuting distance.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous consulting experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field (preferred).
  • OSHA 501 – Trainer for General Industry (preferred).
  • Recognized safety credentials such as CSP, ASP, CHST, or CSHO are highly desirable.
  • Current First Aid/CPR/AED instructor certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver engaging safety training programs including: HAZWOPER 8-hour and 24-hour, OSHA 10-hour and 30-hour (General Industry), NFPA 70E Arc Flash, Safety Leadership.
  • Conduct training in-person, via webinars, or through Learning Management Systems (LMS), including development of site-specific content.
  • Assist clients with the development, implementation, and maintenance of core safety programs such as: Emergency Action Plans, Lockout/Tagout, Hazard Communication, PPE, Bloodborne Pathogens.
  • Perform hazard assessments and site inspections; generate written reports with corrective actions and recommendations.
  • Coordinate and manage training schedules and consulting engagements in alignment with client proposals.
  • Ensure timely completion of internal administrative tasks including time tracking, expense reporting, and documentation.
  • Design and customize safety training to meet client-specific regulatory requirements and workplace hazards.
