Requirements
- 5–10 years of direct experience in the safety profession, with a strong emphasis on training, hazard identification, and program development.
- Proven experience delivering safety training in both classroom and virtual environments.
- Demonstrated ability to assess site-specific hazards and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Strong project and time management skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
- Customer-focused approach with strong relationship-building capabilities.
- Background check and potential drug screening required for the position.
- Residence within a reasonable commuting distance.
Nice To Haves
- Previous consulting experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field (preferred).
- OSHA 501 – Trainer for General Industry (preferred).
- Recognized safety credentials such as CSP, ASP, CHST, or CSHO are highly desirable.
- Current First Aid/CPR/AED instructor certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging safety training programs including: HAZWOPER 8-hour and 24-hour, OSHA 10-hour and 30-hour (General Industry), NFPA 70E Arc Flash, Safety Leadership.
- Conduct training in-person, via webinars, or through Learning Management Systems (LMS), including development of site-specific content.
- Assist clients with the development, implementation, and maintenance of core safety programs such as: Emergency Action Plans, Lockout/Tagout, Hazard Communication, PPE, Bloodborne Pathogens.
- Perform hazard assessments and site inspections; generate written reports with corrective actions and recommendations.
- Coordinate and manage training schedules and consulting engagements in alignment with client proposals.
- Ensure timely completion of internal administrative tasks including time tracking, expense reporting, and documentation.
- Design and customize safety training to meet client-specific regulatory requirements and workplace hazards.
