About The Position

Associate coaches play a vital role in supporting the head coach and contributing to the overall success of a sports program. Their duties and responsibilities are multifaceted, encompassing various aspects of team management, player development, and administrative tasks.

Requirements

  • Prior college or high school coaching experience.
  • NH Driver’s License
  • Understand how to coach and teach to student-athletes at the college level.

Responsibilities

  • Works closely with the head coach to develop and implement training programs, game strategies, and player development plans.
  • Provides individual instruction, feedback, and mentorship to athletes, helping them improve their skills, performance, and overall athletic development.
  • Assists in scouting opponents, analyzing game footage, and developing game plans, ensuring the team is well-prepared for competitions.
  • Leads or assists in conducting training sessions, drills, and workouts, ensuring players are physically and mentally prepared for games.
  • Organizes team travel, manages equipment, maintains records, and ensures compliance with rules and regulations.
  • Assists with recruiting new players, evaluating their skills, and assessing their potential fit within the team.
  • Tracks and evaluates athlete performance, providing feedback to the head coach and individual players.
  • Acts as role models and mentors to athletes, offering guidance and support on and off the field, including academic and personal development.
  • Contributes to fostering a positive and inclusive team culture, encouraging sportsmanship and teamwork.
