Since 1969, Center for Community Solutions (CCS) has been creating safe and healthy communities with a core emphasis on the prevention and intervention of sexual assault and relationship violence. Our mission is to end relationship and sexual violence by being a catalyst for caring communities. The Associate Grants Writer reports to the Chief Philanthropy Officer and is the lead writer for assigned private grants and supports government grant applications and is assigned goals from the Chief Philanthropy Officer (CPO) and Chief Operating Officer for identifying and researching potential new grant opportunities that align with CCS’ mission and current priorities. Assists with the development of grant proposals, foundation stewardship, and the preparation of reports and other communications. Serves as the primary lead for a portfolio of annual grant renewals and stewardship of private foundation grants ranging from $500 to $10,000. The Associate Grants Writer partners with executive and program leadership to coordinate proposal materials and submit grant applications through various funding platforms. Additionally, the Associate Grants Writer coordinates proposal timelines from development through submission, tracks grant deadlines and deliverables, and prepares award acknowledgment letters.
