About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Associate General Counsel / Healthcare Attorney to support healthcare regulation and disciplinary matters across rural Tennessee.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) required.
- Active Tennessee Bar license in good standing required.
- Litigation and trial/hearing experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload and work collaboratively.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with administrative law, healthcare law, professional licensing, or regulatory matters preferred.
Responsibilities
- Represent the department in administrative cases before healthcare licensing boards.
- Review complaints and investigations involving healthcare professionals.
- Work with investigators and licensing-board consultants.
- Handle disciplinary cases, including discovery, motions, negotiations, hearings, and trials.
- Manage multiple cases and deadlines.
- Assist with healthcare-related legislative projects and bill analysis.
