As Associate General Counsel, Product Regulatory, you will play a critical role in shaping how CoreWeave develops, launches, and scales its products as our business and the regulatory landscape continue to evolve. You will help anticipate what’s ahead, navigate novel and complex regulatory questions, and establish the legal and regulatory foundation that enables CoreWeave to innovate responsibly and grow globally. Reporting to the Senior Director & Lead Managing Counsel, Privacy, Regulatory & Compliance, you will set the legal framework for how products are designed, reviewed, approved, launched, and operated in a rapidly evolving global regulatory environment. You will advise senior leaders and partner closely with Product, Engineering, Privacy, AI, Security, Commercial Legal, Supply Chain, and Global Operations to translate complex requirements into practical decisions and scalable controls.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of relevant legal experience, including substantial experience counseling complex technology products; a mix of law firm and in-house experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to serve as the senior legal advisor to Product and Engineering leaders and independently resolve novel, high-impact regulatory issues throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Deep expertise in multiple regulatory areas relevant to AI and cloud products, such as AI governance, privacy and data protection, cybersecurity, consumer protection, data regulation, or digital-services regulation.
  • Strong technical fluency and the ability to translate product functionality, system architecture, data flows, model behavior, and technical documentation into clear legal and engineering actions.
  • Experience designing and leading product governance programs, including review and approval frameworks, policies, controls, training, audit-ready evidence, and monitoring.
  • Experience conducting international product risk assessments and advising on market entry, product launches, technology transitions, and cross-border requirements.
  • Exceptional judgment and executive presence, with the ability to identify material risk, present practical options, and make defensible recommendations in ambiguous situations.
  • Excellent drafting and communication skills, including the ability to influence senior technical and business leaders and explain complex regulatory requirements clearly and concisely.
  • Proven ability to lead through influence, build trusted cross-functional relationships, coordinate complex initiatives across multiple teams, and provide subject-matter leadership without direct management authority.
  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar (NY, NJ, CA, DC, or WA preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Own and mature CoreWeave’s product regulatory governance program, including product-review processes, approval frameworks, policies, decision records, training, control mappings, and evidence demonstrating compliance.
  • Lead legal review of new and evolving products, features, AI capabilities, data uses, and infrastructure initiatives throughout the product lifecycle; identify requirements, conduct international product regulatory risk assessments, and recommend controls, approvals, and launch conditions.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to embed privacy by design and default, responsible AI, security, data-governance, transparency, and other requirements into product architecture, roadmaps, and development processes.
  • Advise Supply Chain and Global Operations on product-related regulatory matters, including technology transitions, state packaging requirements, equipment compliance, and scalable supply-chain regulatory programs.
  • Partner with Product Commercial Legal to align product functionality, customer commitments, contracting positions, disclosures, technical documentation, and marketing claims with legal requirements and approved controls.
  • Monitor, interpret, and operationalize U.S. and international product, privacy, AI, data, cybersecurity, consumer-protection, and digital-services laws; advise senior leadership on product roadmaps, market entry, and business models.
  • Lead significant regulatory inquiries, audits, investigations, and policy engagements involving CoreWeave’s products and services; coordinate cross-functional responses, oversee outside counsel, drive remediation, and provide subject-matter leadership across Legal and Compliance.
