Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable work experience.
  • FINRA series 7 and 63 licenses or ability to attain the licenses within first year of employment.
  • A minimum of 2 years in a customer service environment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications including Excel and Word.

  • The Fund Operations Associate is a key member of the Fund Operations Department. This role provides direct support for shareholders invested in the Thornburg Investment Trust Funds as well as financial advisors representing those shareholders. An associate in this role is required to learn and become well versed in operational processes and procedures of the department as well as related prospectus and regulatory requirements. Additional responsibilities may include intermediary operational support, operational product support, executing reporting processes, and interactions with the Funds operational service providers.

Responsibilities

  • Receive inbound telephone, e-mail, or other inquiries calls from shareholders, financial representatives, intermediary operations, potential customers, or the general public and handle each interaction appropriately based on established guidelines.
  • Facilitate shareowner transactions and provide instructions to Fund service providers to ensure accurate processing of work items.
  • Identify and escalate issues and errors to the appropriately in a timely manner and facilitate the corrections of these errors.
  • Engage in root cause analysis intended to find the causes of issues and errors and identify potential changes to prevent errors or unintended results of processes.
  • Ensure all assigned job procedures are updated as needed, accurate, and reviewed on a regular basis.
  • Engage in ongoing efforts within the team and department management to understand process and procedure and continually improve results for Thornburg customers.
