About The Position

The Wu Tsai Institute (WTI) at Yale is seeking exceptional candidates with expertise in computational areas for a tenured faculty position at the Associate or Full Professor rank. The successful candidate will contribute to understanding human cognition and exploring human potential through interdisciplinary inquiry. The research program should focus on computational modeling that advances theoretical understanding of the brain and cognition, with particular emphasis on the interface of neuroscience and artificial intelligence/machine learning. The position involves a tenured appointment in one or more departments within Yale's Faculty of Arts and Sciences, School of Engineering and Applied Science, and/or School of Medicine. Requirements

PhD (or equivalent) at time of hire.
Hold a research faculty position or equivalent at a level of seniority appropriate for tenure at the time of application.
Expertise in computational areas.
Research program with breakthroughs in computational modeling that advance theoretical understanding of the brain and cognition.
Background in applied mathematics, computer science, data science, engineering, or related field.
Research experience or interests at the interface of neuroscience and computation, particularly artificial intelligence and machine learning.
