About The Position

The Associate - Food Services I role is a part-time position with a rotating shift schedule, meaning days and shifts may vary. This role is based at the West Hospital and supports the Nutrition Services department. The primary responsibilities include preparing, plating, serving, and transporting food and supplies to ensure a high level of satisfaction for patients, family members, physicians, team members, and the public. The position requires timely, accurate, and courteous service, adherence to sanitation, cleaning, and infection control practices for food safety, and operation of various food service and computer equipment.

Requirements

• Requires the ability to operate kitchen equipment.
• Must be able to wear protective equipment/clothing required by the environment or government regulations such as gowns, gloves, goggles, rubber-soled closed-toe footwear, etc.
• Requires adherence to local health regulations and safety requirements to produce safe food for consumption.
• Requires the ability to climb ladders.
• Physical requirements to include: reaching, standing for long periods of time, squatting, bending, carrying and/or lifting supplies and equipment weighing 35 lbs. or more, up to 80% of the time.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience is preferred.
• No experience is required. Prior food service experience is preferred.
