About The Position

The Associate Financial Administrator II plays a key role in preparing and filing quarterly mutual fund reports and analyzing fund performance, expense budgeting, and board reporting for mutual funds, ETFs, and other investment products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, business, or related field.
  • 1 year of accounting or finance experience.
  • Financial services industry.
  • Financial reporting and performance tracking systems.
  • SEC, IRS, and GAAP reporting regulations.
  • SEC Forms, N-PORT, N-CEN, N-CSR, and 24f-2.
  • Stocks, bonds, options, foreign securities, and derivatives.
  • Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Adobe Acrobat.
  • Troubleshoots issues utilizing creative and critical thinking skills.
  • Multitasking, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Initiative-taking, strategic, and meticulous approaches with a strong commitment to quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares quarterly, semi-annual, and annual financial reports for assigned funds.
  • Maintains expense budgets and accruals, as needed, based on contractual fee schedules and fiscal year projections.
  • Processes expense payment authorizations, as needed, for fund expenses.
  • Calculates standard monthly management fees and advisor waiver and reimbursements for each fund; distributes fee authorization to the appropriate party.
  • Utilizes fund performance tracking systems to monitor and review fund performance; distributes information to clients, as needed.
  • Compiles quarterly reports utilized by Trust’s Board members.
  • Completes off-schedule projects and ad hoc reporting when needed.
  • Occasional contact with rating agencies by releasing portfolio holdings, answering surveys, or providing fund information as needed or requested.
  • Daily contact with the Financial Administration team regarding fund financial statements, reports, compliance, audits, etc.
  • May perform other duties as required and assigned.
