About The Position

The Associate, Financial Accounting will report and govern key metrics related to AUS reporting. This role involves working closely with AWM Controllers Leadership Team to prepare and review global financial reporting materials. The position leads strategic change across AWM Controllers by collaborating with senior leadership and Technology. Key responsibilities include managing data, performing data reconciliation, governance and system testing, data visualization and reporting, project management, and presenting key metrics and analysis to senior leadership. The role also focuses on creating efficiencies through automation and implementing strategic initiatives, including requirements gathering, project plan creation, testing execution, departmental trainings, and communications. The Associate will collect and treat high volume of data related to AUS, reporting on the effectiveness of the Firm’s governance, risk management, and controls. This includes interacting with AWM Controllers leadership to confirm data quality and sourcing data from various systems, reconciling it for completeness and accuracy, and performing divisional operations functions related to data integrity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role.
  • Identifying issues related to internal controls and supplying comprehensive recommendations to management to mitigate company’s risks.
  • Utilizing knowledge of U.S. General Accepted Accounting experience (GAAP) to produce or review financial information for inclusion in company’s consolidated financials.
  • Utilizing Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint to create reports and perform analysis using pivot tables, VLOOKUP, charts, filtering, data validation, and other various tools.
  • Independently review general ledger and journal entries to analyze and reconcile accounts, including investigating fluctuations in both P&L and balance sheet account amounts and reporting periods.
  • Identifying and understanding underlying drivers during analytical reviews.

  • Perform divisional operations functions, including those related to data integrity of reported information.
  • Source data from various data sources and systems and reconciliate this data to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Present key divisional metrics and analysis to Controllers Leadership and AWM Leadership Teams.
