About The Position

Associate, Financial Accounting with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Salt Lake City, Utah. Execute and ensure accuracy of global transfer pricing calculations relating to residual profit sharing, cost sharing agreements, and other transfer pricing methodologies. Prepare monthly financial results to be presented to senior leaders and educate stakeholders on complex transfer pricing regulations and methods. Take part in the Firm’s stress testing and capital planning, including but not limited to DFAST (Dodd-Frank Act Stress Tests) and CCAR (Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review), by forecasting transfer pricing impact on the Firm’s key legal entities. Support Vice Presidents in establishing, implementing, and enforcing the Firm’s global transfer pricing policies within their respective regions by focusing on timely and quality executions of granular and routine transfer pricing tasks. Assist the Firm’s tax experts and attorneys to ensure the Firm’s compliance with all global tax regulations through preparation of impact analysis, feasibility studies and documentation. Enhance the Firm’s transfer pricing operational infrastructure through automation and improvements to existing workflows. Coordinate large scale transfer pricing methodology changes and oversee international transfer pricing calculation as a part of the U.S. headquarter team.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in a related role OR Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role.
  • Prior experience must include one (1) year of experience (with a Master’s degree) OR three (3) years of experience (with a Bachelor’s degree) with the following: large financial services firm or “Big Four” accounting firm; transfer pricing and international tax guidelines and regulations, such as Treas. Reg. 1.482 or Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Guidelines; financial modeling and economic analysis experience with transfer pricing models and profitability analysis; conducting functional reviews and analyses of financial processes and reports, including identification and understanding of underlying drivers of trends and variances; using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint to create reports and perform analysis using pivot tables, VLOOKUP, charts, filtering, data validation, and other “what if” tools; and working on multiple, concurrent time-sensitive assignments such as transfer pricing analytical reviews and documentation.
