We are seeking an Associate on our Regional FP&A team for the North America Office portfolio, reporting to the Director, Finance & Accounting. This role will be responsible for delivering comprehensive financial forecasts, analyses, and strategic insights to support corporate planning, investment evaluation, and operational decision-making across a diverse portfolio. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical acumen, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally while communicating complex financial data in a clear and actionable manner.

Requirements

  • Accrual and/or financial statement experience required
  • Familiarity with Yardi preferred
  • Ability to work in a fact-paced environment, juggling multiple deadlines
  • Self-motivated and proactive, both with respect to managing workload and own professional development
  • Ability to handle large volume of work; good organizational skills and ability to prioritize work
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel
  • Ability to quickly learn new analytic and reporting systems
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving ability
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • 2-4 years experience in accounting, ideally in the real estate industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the preparation of annual budgets, discounted cash flows and valuation projections for corporate business plan
  • Support the monthly and quarterly IFRS financial statement forecasting
  • Prepare quarterly leasing forecast, which includes updates of actual leasing activity, forecasted leasing assumptions, and early tenant expirations
  • Prepare financial analysis, market analysis and board presentations for management review
  • Work closely with the accounting team during monthly close cycles to ensure accuracy
  • Coordinate with asset management, lease administration, corporate services, marketing, and investor relations to gather inputs and support forecasting and reporting processes
  • Perform ad-hoc projects and financial analysis for management as needed
  • Convey analytical insights and outcomes through clear, structured narratives
  • Analyze cash flow projection reports for existing properties
  • Support the advancement of strategic business objectives across a diversified portfolio of investments at varying stages of development
