About The Position

The Associate, Finance & Accounting is an entry-level role responsible for the internal day-to-day financial operations of the organization, with an emphasis on process management. This position acts as a fiscal gatekeeper and exercises utmost attention to detail to ensure sound fiscal health. The right candidate should possess: 1) superb detail orientation, 2) a strong work ethic, 3) responsive and collaborative communication skills, and 4) the ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and project coordination support by scheduling meetings, tracking timelines, monitoring action items, and maintaining project materials.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and assist with account reconciliations, financial reporting, and audit preparation.
  • Process accounts payable transactions, including invoices, expense reimbursements, vendor payments, and supporting documentation.
  • Support the financial administration of grant-funded projects by tracking expenditures, organizing documentation, and maintaining project records.
  • Assist program staff with financial and administrative activities to help ensure expenses are properly documented and compliant with grant and organizational requirements.
  • Organize and maintain financial, vendor, and project files while ensuring records are complete, accurate, and readily accessible.
  • Respond to routine inquiries from staff, vendors, and external partners and provide general administrative support to the Finance team.
