About The Position

The Associate Feed Analyst supports reporting, analysis, and Power BI development across Grain Accounting, Nutrition, Feed Milling, Delivery, QA and other areas. This role provides insights and recommendations to improve performance, consistency, and value for SFD. Individual will be highly involved with reporting to team members to improve visibility, consistency, overall performance, and standardization practices. Provides high-quality communication and feedback to related external and internal parties.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in animal science, agricultural business, agricultural economics, economics, business or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
• Company will consider a currently enrolled college student with an anticipated graduation by end of current school year as qualified.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, SQL; experience building complex reports and queries.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• High attention to detail and organization.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with a professional, adaptable mindset.
• High integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
• Highest level of integrity, discretion and maintenance of confidentiality required.

Nice To Haves

• Some knowledge of R & Python preferred.
• Experience in agribusiness, commodity related role and understanding of the agri-business environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and deliver feed, grain, and production reports and analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Grain Accounting, Manufacturing, Nutrition, Transportation, Production) to support reporting needs.
• Support strategic initiatives through data analysis and reporting.
• Create and present reports using Power BI, SQL, Excel, PowerPoint, and other tools.
• Analyze operational and financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
• Forecast business and industry conditions based on data analysis.
• Serve as a reporting and analytics resource, including ad hoc queries and explaining results to stakeholders.
• Communicate findings clearly to internal and external partners.
• Provide additional support to feed related operations as needed in a financial role.
• Assist in the implementation of strategic initiatives that support the department and organizational objectives.
• Review and analyze data and provide feedback to maximize value for SFD.
• Analyze financial information to forecast business, industry, and economic conditions and communicate results to appropriate parties.
• Function as an analytics and reporting expert for assigned functions by executing standard reports and running/maintaining ad hoc queries and explain results of analysis to all levels of management.
• Professionally develop and deliver presentations and reports using PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and other programs, as necessary.
