Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of feed mill manufacturing equipment operation and maintenance
Demonstrated leadership skills
Intermediate math (add, subtract, multiply and/or divide proportions, percentages, area, volume, etc.)
Basic computer knowledge and usage skills
Detail oriented
Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate
Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours
Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character
Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs
Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times in areas where required
Frequently stoop, kneel, crawl and bend
Ability to lift and carry 50 - 60 lbs
Constantly subject to dusty, hot environments
Frequently work in loud environment requiring ear protection
Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts
Ability to work at heights of 200+ ft
Ability to operate a pallet jack with 2,000+ lbs. of material

Nice To Haves

Must have the ability to be certified for forklift operation.
Must be able to perform duties effectively with minimal supervision.
Must have the ability to cooperate with other mill and maintenance employees, as well as truck drivers.

Responsibilities

Operate multiple automated feed production systems inclusive of batching, pelleting, grinding, and receiving.
Keep all records in an orderly and presentable manner.
Record and reconcile drug and micro-ingredient inventories as required.
Perform housekeeping duties as assigned by supervision.
Collect feed samples as directed by supervision.
Communicate to supervision any issues that interfere with plant production operations.
Other duties as assigned by supervision.
