For non-teaching roles, responsibilities include communication, coordination, program development, budget planning, leadership, and governance. Curriculum, course outlines, and written materials must be kept current and appropriate, incorporating communication skills, computational skills, critical thinking, and cultural diversity. Adherence to state and federal regulations is also required. Additional responsibilities may include peer mentoring, meeting contractual obligations like advising and maintaining office hours, fulfilling division/department obligations, and participating in professional growth activities. Leadership and commitment to the profession are demonstrated through involvement in professional organizations, collegial governance, college committees, campus activities, curriculum development, and classroom research. Collaboration with colleagues to support student success and implement the college's mission is essential, as is participation in program review and accreditation.
