About The Position

This entry-level role supports the Enterprise Project Management Office by assisting with the coordination, tracking, and documentation of projects across various business areas, including Financial Risk Management, Information Technology, Operations, Security, and other Shared Services Partners. Working under the guidance of Senior Associates and Project/Portfolio Managers, this role helps monitor project status, prepare reports, and maintain governance documentation. This position is designed to build foundational project management and EPMO governance skills through hands-on exposure to real project work.

Requirements

  • 0-1 year of experience or internship/coursework exposure to project management methodologies (Waterfall and/or Agile)
  • Ability to contribute positively in a dynamic, fast-paced, and highly regulated environment
  • Ability to manage basic to moderate tasks with attention to deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities
  • Willingness to learn and collaborate across teams
  • Strong attention to detail and eagerness to develop analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated and organized, with a proactive approach to learning
  • Interest in analyzing processes and supporting data organization for PMO portfolio activities
  • Good organizational and time-management skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with team members and stakeholders
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Bachelor's degree (completed or in progress) in business, technical discipline, or related field
  • 0-1 year of relevant experience, internship, or academic project involving project coordination

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Visio or similar diagramming tools
  • Exposure to project management tools such as Planview, SharePoint, or Jira
  • Basic familiarity with Confluence
  • Coursework or academic experience involving data organization or basic reporting
  • Interest in developing skills for creating and presenting PowerPoint materials
  • Basic awareness of application development, testing, or IT support processes
  • Pursuing or interested in pursuing PMP Certification (or equivalent)
  • Pursuing or interested in pursuing Agile Certification (or equivalent)

Responsibilities

  • Develops a working understanding of traditional Waterfall and Agile project/product management methods
  • Learns and applies OCC standard project management guidelines, including project management checklists, controls, and templates
  • Assists with project intake and initiation activities, such as gathering basic project information and supporting documentation
  • Supports project teams with administrative and coordination tasks from Initiation through Closure
  • Helps track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables under supervision
  • Assists Project and Portfolio Managers in maintaining risk and issue logs
  • Supports the preparation of status reports, meeting notes, and basic dashboards
  • Communicates clearly and professionally with team members and stakeholders
  • Prepares and distributes routine documentation and reports as directed
  • Supports quality review activities to help ensure compliance with EPMO processes
  • Assists with gathering documentation for regulatory examinations, internal audits, and compliance reviews as requested
  • Performs other duties as assigned
